Ruchi specializes in Strategic Communication, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Business Ethics, and Technology-mediated Human Communication. Her academic pursuits span teaching, research, consultancy, and institutional development.
Ruchi champions’ theory in practice, for which she publishes in academic journals, presents her research work in reputed international conferences like IAMCR, AMS, etc. and is actively involved in designing and delivering corporate training programs relating to her area of expertise. Additionally, she also offers consulting services to start-ups on the ways to employ communication as a competitive edge. She has been acknowledged and appreciated for her academic and research contribution by Sage Publications, and other academic institutions and invited to serve as a member of the editorial and review board of journals, faculty selection and policy design committee of other leading universities.
She has authored over 40 peer-reviewed journal articles and numerous book chapters. Her recent works explore emotional intelligence in healthcare, selfie behaviour, and algorithmic media. She has co-authored books on strategic communication and partnership building and regularly presents her research work at international conferences.
She has conducted over 1000 hours of corporate training on communication and CSR for academic and corporate audiences on topics like Interpersonal communication and organizational effectiveness, Critical Thinking and Analytical writing, and Story-driven Strategic Communication and Crisis Communication. She has also led faculty development programs for institutes and served as a trainer for ISRO and MGLI.
Ruchi is an advisor to two Ahmedabad-based startups. Her institutional roles include serving on recruitment boards and scholarship committees, and she has contributed to national dialogues on sustainability and business ethics.
