Centre for Development Management and Communication (CDMC)

The Centre for Development Management and Communication (CDMC) at MICA works at the intersection of communication, management, and development to enable sustainable social impact. CDMC believes that well-designed policies and programs achieve their full potential only when supported by meaningful, trustworthy, and inclusive communication. By connecting scholarship, practice, and communities, CDMC leverages the power of strategic communication to empower change and transform lives.

CDMC collaborates with government bodies, civil society organisations, corporate partners, and international institutions across India and globally. Its work spans research, capacity building, strategy development, advocacy, and publications, with a focus on sectors such as education, health, digital inclusion, WaSH, women and child development, youth and gender, and the environment. The Centre’s efforts align strongly with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Particularly the following SDG’s

CDMC Philosophy

Good intentions alone do not create impact—effective communication does. CDMC addresses the gap between policy, practice, and people by designing evidence-led narratives, strengthening institutional capacities, and enabling professionals to communicate complexity with clarity and trust. The Centre works from local roots to global reach, ensuring that ideas are understood, trusted, and acted upon.
