Professional Experience
Prof. Govindrajan is currently an Adjunct Professor at MICA, Ahmedabad, where he continues to teach marketing and engage with a student community deeply interested in marketing and communication as primary career paths. In parallel, he is the Director of Vertical Limit Education, an institution founded with the objective of enabling focused reskilling. Vertical Limit operates on the philosophy of “Reskill. Reboot.” and is designed to help learners align their capabilities with evolving industry requirements through specialised, application-oriented programmes.
He started his career with long-standing academic positions at some of India’s leading business schools. He spent 16 years at Xavier Institute of Management (XIM), Bhubaneswar, where he served as Associate Professor and was deeply involved in teaching marketing. He later went on to serve as Dean of Praxis Business School, Kolkata, for over 11 years, playing a central role in building the institution during its formative and growth phases. As Dean, he was involved in academic planning, faculty development, student affairs, and institutional strategy. One of the key highlights of his tenure was being part of the leadership team that launched a high-quality programme in Business Analytics, reflecting his openness to interdisciplinary and data-driven education.
Prof. Govindrajan has also served as Director of KIIT School of Management, Bhubaneswar, where he contributed to academic leadership and governance. His teaching engagements extend to XLRI, where he taught for nearly a decade, and to several Indian Institutes of Management, including IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, IIM Udaipur, IIM Shillong, and IIM Raipur.
