Prof. Siddharth Deshmukh

Siddharth Deshmukh, aka "The Travelling Professor" is a first batch Mican and Founder of FableLab, specialising in story-led growth that scales business results.

With over three decades of international experience, Siddharth bridges the worlds of industry, entrepreneurship, and academia, using narrative thinking to drive meaningful transformation in brands, ventures, and education.

Based in the United Kingdom, Siddharth’s professional journey spans leadership and strategic roles across digital, entertainment, product, telecom, and consulting sectors, having worked with organizations such as Sony Entertainment, AT&T, Cohezia UK, and several of his own entrepreneurial ventures. His deep understanding of market-facing functions and innovation-led growth continues to inform his consulting and teaching practice.

In academia, Siddharth has served as Associate Dean at MICA and has been a visiting and adjunct faculty member for over a decade across prominent institutions including Southampton University, SPJIMR, SPJAIN, SIU, FLAME University, and MICA. His teaching areas include Product Management, Content Creation, New Age Marketing, Venture Development, and Customer Experience Design, where he integrates storytelling, design, and strategic thinking to prepare students for dynamic, digital-first markets.

An accomplished author and thought leader, Siddharth has written four books that reflect his distinctive blend of insight, humor, and reflective practice: The Map that Matters (2008), The Gift of the Gab (2010), NOT a Self-Help Book (2023), and NOT a Marketing Book! (2024). His work continues to challenge conventional thinking about marketing, leadership, and personal growth.

Beyond academia and consulting, Siddharth is an active creator and educator online, sharing ideas on LinkedIn and his YouTube channel @labfable, where he explores the intersections of learning, creativity, and business storytelling.

A PGDPC alumnus of MICA (1994–96), Siddharth represents the institute’s pioneering spirit—combining analytical rigour with creative exploration to inspire new generations of marketers, leaders, and change-makers.
