His teaching interests include brand management, gamification-based marketing, qualitative marketing research, theory construction, and creative meta-skills. His research interests include gamification, creativity in marketing, theory construction, relationship marketing, and pedagogy. He has authored many papers and case studies published in various reputed outlets such as the International Journal of Information Management, Journal of Business Research, Australasian Marketing Journal, Marketing Intelligence and Planning, Journal of Marketing Education, Journal of Computer Information Systems, Harvard Business School Case Study, Emerald Emerging Markets Case Collection, Metamorphosis: A Journal of Management Research (IIM-Lucknow), etc. He has also written two books on CRM, which have been well-received. He is the pioneer of the photo-novel genre of literature in India, besides being an award-winning filmmaker.

Kallol Das did his B.E. (Mechanical) from NIT-Surat and followed that up with an MBA and Ph.D. in Marketing from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University. He started his career in the corporate world with multinationals like Caltex and Gulf Oil. Subsequently, he moved to Brand Management and Customer Relationship Management consulting. After 5 years in the industry, he shifted to academics, where he found his true calling. He has now completed 22 years in academics, wherein he has made profound contributions.
