The Sports Committee at MICA (SCAM) is the official student body responsible for promoting sports, fitness, and a culture of physical well-being on campus. SCAM organizes and manages intra-college and inter-college sporting events, ensuring active student participation alongside academic life. The committee facilitates competitive platforms, recreational engagement, and representation of MICA in external tournaments. Through structured leagues, flagship events, and fitness initiatives, SCAM contributes to holistic student development by fostering teamwork, discipline, leadership, and community bonding across the MICA campus.

Events Compendium (AY 2025–26)

SAMAR – Annual Inter B-School Sports Festival
SAMAR is the flagship inter-B-school sports festival hosted by MICA, bringing together teams from leading management institutes across India. Organized by SCAM, the three-day event features competitions across sports such as football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, athletics and many more. SAMAR promotes competitive excellence, sportsmanship, and inter-institutional engagement, making it one of the most prominent sporting events on the MICA campus calendar.
MICATHON – Marathon
Micathon is MICA’s annual marathon organized to promote fitness, endurance, and healthy living among students and staff. The event encourages mass participation and awareness around physical well-being, featuring multiple running categories and campus-wide engagement. Micathon reinforces SCAM’s focus on integrating fitness into everyday student life.
Hostel-Wars (Intra-College Sports League)
Hostel-Wars is an intra-college, inter-hostel sports competition where student hostels compete across multiple sports and recreational games. The event fosters friendly rivalry, teamwork, and high participation across batches. Hostel-Wars strengthens community bonding while encouraging inclusive and sustained engagement in sports on campus.
Inter-College Tournaments:
SCAM coordinates MICA’s participation in inter-college sports tournaments hosted by other institutions throughout the academic year. Our teams compete across multiple sports, representing the institute at regional and national B-school sporting events. This year, we participated in AU Cup 3.0 and will also be representing MICA at KJSIM’s Sports Fest, YUDH’26.
PGP1 + CCC vs PGP2
It is an intra-program sports event held at the start of the academic year, where first-year students compete against second-year students across multiple sports. The event provides a friendly platform for juniors to interact with seniors, fostering camaraderie, teamwork, and early integration into campus life through sports.
